After a bunch of good news about the ETA and Untethered status of GreenPois0n jailbreak for iOS 4.1. Here comes some bad news, unfortunately GreenPois0n will not jailbreak anything but 4th-generation devices. 4th-generation devices indicates to iPhone 4, iPod touch 4G and iPad only, nothing more.
To all asking. Yes unfortunately SHAtter just won't work with anything but the 4th gen devices :(
Please remember that SHAtter and greenpoison are /only/ possible on the fourth-gen devices: iPad, iPhone 4, and iPod touch 4G.This don't mean that other devices won't be jailbroken on iOS 4.1. According to iPhone Dev Team member Daniel Peebles, it's expected to find new exploits to jailbreak iPhone 3GS and iPod touch 3G. We will keep you informed.
Update 1: Calm down, Comex will deliver a jailbreak for iPhone 3GS and iPod touch 3G users, the exploit may works on iOS 4.2 too.
